1. The Age of Everest. 
    Did you know that Everest is more than 60 million years old? According to history books and experts, this mountain was formed when the Indian continental plate crashed into Asia. The Indian plate is pushed under Asia which produces a huge landmass up, and gives birth to the highest mountains in the world; The mighty Himalayas. 

2. The altitude may have changed after the             2015 earthquake.

Originally named Sagarmatha by the Nepalese, which means Goddess of Heaven. On the other hand, the Tibetans recognize the mountain as Chomolungma, which means the Mother Goddess of the Mountains.

    Kami Rita Sherpa is the guide who is known for holding the record for the most climbs to Everest (until March 2021). He has climbed Everest 25 times since 1994.
